According to GSA's statistics, as of mid September 2020, 397 operators in 129 countries / regions have invested in 5G networks, 124 operators have built 5G networks, of which 101 operators from 44 countries / regions have launched 5G services that meet 3GPP standards (94 operators launched 5G mobile services and 37 operators launched 5G FWA or home broadband services).
According to GSMA's prediction, by 2025, the global 5G users will reach 1.8 billion, accounting for 20%, while Ericsson's prediction values are 2.8 billion and 31%. Moreover, between 2020 and 2035, the direct contribution of 5G to the economy worldwide will be about US $200 billion a year, reaching US $3.5 trillion in total, providing a total of 22 million jobs (IHS forecast)
5G network provides a new productivity platform. At present, it is migrating content and applications in the 4G era to 5G network, with limited perception. For example, some dangerous driving scenes can be remotely controlled through 5G network.
